Beginner 1 - perfect for beginners ages 4 + with little to no experience with Irish dancing
Beginner 2 - perfect for beginners who have some Irish dance experience or other dance experience. A program for dancers who have been training for over 1.5 years and have reached the level Advanced Beginner or transitioning into Novice
Novice- A program for dancers who have been training for over 2 years and have reached the level of Novice in competition
Advanced - This program is for dancers in Prizewinner to Championship levels
Adult Beginner- For adults who have little to some dance knowledge. These dancers are taught both soft and hard shoe styles (ages 16+).
Adult Ceili - This class is a mix of aerobics, strength training/drills and group ceili dancing. New members are welcome.
Adult Advanced - For adults who have the desire to compete in solos at the higher levels of competition (Novice to Champ).
All beginners will start their training in soft shoes. They will learn beginner steps in the Reel, Light Jig, Single Jig, Slip Jig as well as the basics of Irish dance. As a dancer's skills increase, they will begin learning hard shoe if they wish. Length and frequency of classes depend on age and experience. Prospective dancers are welcome to join a trial class when scheduled with the instructor.
Tuition payments are paid in full at the start of each session.
Session 1: September - December
Session 2: January - March
Session 3: April - June
Summer Classes: Pay-as-you-go studio classes

What to wear
Students wear an Aroon Academy t-shirt, black or dark coloured shorts, and white poodle socks to class. Beginners will be expected to purchase soft shoes but can wear slip-on dance shoes at the beginning. Please tie long hair back away from face. Bring a water bottle and a smile!
Purchase Footwear
You can purchase poodle socks from Aroon Academy. Used soft shoes and hard shoes may also be available.
